The Delta Regional Authority (DRA) recently announced a $1,500,000 investment into 11 organizations across the Mississippi River Delta region through the new Delta Workforce Grant Program. The new program will help train the next generation of workforce, create jobs, and increase economic competitiveness throughout the Delta region by aligning workforce and economic development strategies, enhancing job training and re-employment opportunities, creating sustainable talent pipelines, and supporting workforce productivity through investments in innovative programming and technology.
Northwest Tennessee Workforce Board held its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, August 27th. Along with naming Mr. Jon Dougherty of Amteck University as our Board Member of the Year, we recognized Margaret Prater with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her 36 years of service in workforce Development.

The Northwest Tennessee Workforce Board and the American Job Centers of Northwest Tennessee are excited to announce #WORKlife, a new youth work experience program! The purpose of this new program is to assist young adults transitioning from high school to either work or postsecondary education.
